Sandford Lutz, brother-in-law to J.M. Lemmon, an old and one-armed soldier, has at last gone where the last roll has been called and there will be no more battles fought. - kbz

Santford Lutz, who resides near Smartsburg died yesterday of consumption. The deceased was an old soldier who lost his arm at Franklin, Tennessee where he was nursed by Mrs. Col. Carington. He was a son-in-law of W.W. Lemon an old citizen of this place. The deceased leaves a wife and family. The funeral will take place at the church at Smartsburg at nine in the morning The interment takes place at the Odd Fellows cemetery in this city. -- thanks to Kim H
